your car is looking fantastic m8 i used a combination of thinners and scrappers to remove the underseal from the "boost monster" dont think mine looks as good as yours. i have fitted cossy 4 pots to my car but needed to buy discs with alloy bells from hi-spec and then tap out the caliper mounting holes m10 to get them fitted keep up the good work

Its all easy stuff to do realy, I bought myself an mfi to efi adapter plate off the net so i could keep the standard head. For the cps sensor i used the setup off of a 1.8 sierra that runs off the alternator pully. (See pic below). Note that the pully had to be machined down to fit in the tight space. If you need any info on doing an efi conversion do a search in the escort rs turbo section, there is a weath of infomation there

Got this through the post today Nice new HKS filter

Not shure about the green in the bay but its a perfect size for my aplication. Might see if i can get a diffrent colour element if it bothers me to much.

Turbo-beal- looking good so far mate. i converted my rs turbo to efi, wish i had done the coil pack aswell now. love the job uve done of polishing up some the components, very pro looking. Bet the throttle took some time with all the different angles and niggly corners on it.

grsford- where in essex u from mate, think i recognise the car, im from maldon

Thanks everyone for your comments

When i ground down the lug i left about 1/2mm from toataly flush. I thought i would leave a little so i could then work out how much more i would need to take off to line it up correctly. As things went it all lined up good so i left it how it was. The bracket did fowl a little on the alternator so a bit of gentle persuasion made it fit

lovley project mate

i have a quick q about the pulley mate
i have recently fitted the same one and it has a slight wobble, did you have to use whashers or something as when i look inside the pulley part of the crankshaft protrudes out where the bolt fits?

Yes m8 you need a thick washer with a sligthly larger inside diameter than the end of the crank. It should pull down nice and tight

Not much of an update cuz i have been realy busy and i havnt had much of a chance to work on the motor

Got the HKS filter fitted and a custom bracket made for the fuel filter

Bought some goodrigde alloy fuel fittings and hose. Cost me £200!

Fabricated a mounting plate for the ecu sensors. Still got to mount it in the bay somehow.

My bargin of the month is this pace intercooler for £20! and its in realy good nick. It will do until i can afford a grs one.

Ok. I wasn't able to get the Sierra cps setup her in Germany, just new @Ford and I fitted a new alternator so that's why I bought the Weber Kit. But at least it works fine

Just a little update. Well its been a while as iv had no computer and just recently moved house and job. For this reason the motor has not progressed very far for a while. I have however sorted out all of the electrics minus a couple of problems, fitted a new mint dash and black carpet form an old orion. Recored my old radiator and installed, fitted most of the pipework minus the engine sensors. The car now turns over on the starter motor and all seems to be doing what it should do. All i have got to do now before i fire it up is to source a water pipe that fitts on the back of the inlet manifold, a couple of jubilee clips, an exhaust coulping from burton power and a small bit of pipework for the sensors.

Well its been a while since iv posted mainly due to it being winter and not fancying freezing my nuts off. Now the weather is getting better and im well settled into my new house iv started to gather a few bits together that iv been searcing for for a while. I am hopig to get it road worthy buy may june time and have some fun with it. Iv managed to find a mint 90 spec front bumper and rear which is now fitted to the car and looks great!! pics to come.... Also got a mint rs turbo bonnet in diamond white which is currently sitting in my spare room ready to fitt. This week got some 17" oz superleggras for a bargin price of £83 off ebay!! All in real good condition. Going to get they blasted and powdercoated in graphite grey and have some new toyos fitted over the next month. Just need to source some seats and im almost there.

Here is some pics of the bonnet i bought. When i got it, it was covered in overspray so i tried getting it of with thinners. Unfortunatly it wouldnt come off so i wet sanded the bonnet and polised it back up and its now mint! Remarkably there is no rust as it was a new bonnet from ford back in 2004.

Pick of my bargain wheels
