cheers people Well i think ill put the cossy bumpers to one side and run the bonus bumpers until i am ready to put some new bumpers on it. Ill decide later what to do but i recon i will go 90 spec with s1 arch kit with no rear spoiler. I think that will look

Well i havnt done an update for a while cuz i havnt realy got around to doing much for a while. First of all at the end of november i writt off my astra sri when i hit a dear on the way to work So i bought myself a new motor before christmas, see pics.
My ex motor
My new 323i
As for the turbo car iv managed to finish off the underside of the car for now so its back on its wheels. I am now getting stuck into the engine but i always seem to take 10 steps back before i make any progress on this project. Everytime i start fitting something i seem to start ripping a shit load of other bits off for powdercoat, paint or renewal For example today i was sorting out the turbo ready to fitt and iv ripped off the starter motor for replacement, removed the alternator for ether refurbishment or replacement. I just dont know where to stop
If you where wondering why exhust looks like its sitting really low its because it isnt fully intsalled yet LOL

Is that an authentic 88' trim bar stool ??????
Looks a great shell you got there mate
And loving the attention to detail, totally agree with the 1 step forward 10 steps back as i'm going through exactly the same process with my S2.
Stick with it mate though, and along with numerous other superb resto' threads on here, you'll not only end up with a cracking car but also enjoy the fact that you inspire others to keep these ol' Fords on the roads for many years to come.

After alot of thought i have dicided to go straight into the efi conversion that i had planned later down the line. it seems another step back but i think in the long ru it gonna make m life easyer. I want to run a fiesta turbo management system while running in the engine and then look for somting a little diffrent later down the line. here is a couple of pics of bits iv colleceted over the last couple of weeks.
A new reconditioned sierra alternator for the coversion
A new fuel accumulator as it came up at a good price
new boost hoses as the old ones where looking a bit tatty
the sierra alternator braket which i didnt realize i would need when i removed the cps gear so i had to go back and get it
fuel rail and throttle body polished up by myself i recon it will look realy good against a matt black manifold
Another efi inlet manifold which i bought for a braket and sensor

well iv pretty much stripped the engine of all the parts for my efi conversion and i now have a big pile of parts for the powdercoters Its all going matt black, crome and polished aluminium. The white rocker and thermostat housing is going to be replaced with a 90 spec rocker in matt black . Still i have a few parts to get like a new gasget set, some aroquip hosing and fittings for the fuel, fuel pressure regulator, throttle cable. Its all going slow but coming on nice
Some more bits i polished up
Starting to take the loom out
the old crap i ripped out
my new efi loom and ecu
old inlet manifold off
oh and i found this ill get that replaced when i drop the engine
My purchase at the donny show

Iv had all this week off work so i managed to get some work done on the motor. Unfortunatly i had no camra through the week so iv only got pics of where im up to today. Iv had loads of bits done at the powdercoaters and iv got to say the finish is top notch
Note that all the polishing was done by my own fair hands!
Pully and alternator on. Alot easyer than i thought it would be
