My rs2000 reshell project
Ok i got this car a while back, a K reg mk5a RS2000, paid aboot £350 for it as it was rotten beyond repair underneath and in a few other places lol

I then got another 1994 mk5a 1.3 shell and transfered everything from the rs onto this

engines removed

the I4 lump complete with subframe, suspension, s/rack etc

ready to be fitted

Now fitted (sorry phone pic)

And at the moment its off getting sprayed in radiant red, will get more pics up when it returns

Quality. Are you transfering the chassis number or are you declaring it....
All i've done is change the engine capacity and the engine number on the log book

Its a Mk5a mate the later models were the 5a's and the earlier ones were called the 5b's, would think it would be the other way around but there you go

, its NOT a MK5a though, the earlier ones where a's the later ones were b's, have a lookie threw any ford forum and the net for confirmation if you need it mate lol.Oh and what he meant about the chassis numbers was transferring them over and then transferring the numberplate across so it would still be seen as an "RS"...not sure why you would but each to his own!

Just got it back from the painters this morning. Its looking not too bad for just £350 quid, will get more pics once its built up. Wheels are away at the moment getting coated, should be back in about a week

I know the servo is the same as the other escorts as i used one from the 1300 escort as the rs one was rusted to hell, not sure what other cars use the master cylinder tho as it has pipes for the abs on it. The xr3i one mite be the same?
