Ok I've got a 1.4LX Ford Escort 5 dr Hatch (1992)
The bumpers and lower halves of the doors are black while the rest of the car is silver.
Can these be color coded and where do I begin?
I'd also like to do some subtle styling with it - nothing major nothing badboy style lol
Just anice bit of "enhancement"
Kinda need a push in the right direction - on a smallish budget

Spray primer, then paint, then lacquer.
To get it to look good you will need some 1/2 decent tools ie not aerosol cans lol. Would be costly in a garage tho I bet.
It may work out cheaper to find something in a scrapyard already painted off a different model then just prepare it and paint over it
What sort of other 'enhancements' were you thinking of ?

Mk5 I'd go for the RS2000 kit, lower -40mm (personally I think 60mm too much) nice set of 17's, you sound like your heads screwed on and don't want an alloy ironing board rear spoiler
If your a member of EscEvo you've probably seen some nice examples of subtle styling already.
A good result is possible with aerosol cans but can be time consuming, although also enjoyable. The plastic black bumpers are going to be a problem, especially if any silicon bumper care products have left any residue. You may have to source some 'plasticiser' before attempting to spray - I'd use primer/filler keep rubbing down after each coat until the bumper is smooth.
Or try to get second hand colour coded ones then spray silver.
Good luck, get some pics up.
