Escort Cosworth track car *95% done*
Just started the rebuild of an escort cosworth to have some fun on track days. I did drive lots of race cars in the past and thisone will be built to my specifications, not the regulation ones
Mike Rainbird is providing the knowledge and the right parts (many thanks !!!!) so nothing can go wrong
Started out with a standard cossie that was first stripped to bare shell and then freed from its rust on sills, under the battery and in the boot. Then I went through the hassle of removing each and every bit of the tar mats (geeez, that was terrible...) but worth the effort cause i shaved 40 kilos off the shell by doing it.
Right now we are seamwelding the whole car (i admit it.....i did look at martins car to know what he did and welded the same spots....) and fitting the custom cages cell (am i stupid or was the bender drunk ?).
As soon as i get a place to upload pics they will follow
Heres a parts list so far:
Quaife Diff front (with thick case) and rear
Quaife 5-speed dog box
GRP Hood, Bonnet, Doors, wings and quarterpanels, WRC bumper,....
380/6pot AP front
330/4pot AP rear
8x18 compomotive with Pirelli P Zero Corsa
pectel monitor and T6 ECU
AiM Dash
leda suspension
fuel cell from ATL
perspex all round except front screen
custom carbon bits by Xsport
Harvey Gibbs 600+ HP engine
.......
.......

200 Block w/ low CR pistons
prepared head by harvey gibbs

thats why i will be using temperature activated pumps on which you can set the temp required

ok.....heres the latest changes :
- welded up a bracket from 5mm steel to mount the wrc handbrake next to the gearchange lever.
- finally all gauges have arrived (except the waterinjection one im afraid...), put them where they belong => in the carbon dash thingys
- Solved the ET problem with the brakes, got a set of racing dynamics 8"x18" with ET33 minus the spacer of 18mm => ET 15
