My Mk2 Fiesta Sandblasting! *14/04/15* Page 8
Some of you may of seen my car before it used to have a mk1 xr2 1700 Crossflow fitted
I have just bought a 2.0 zetec today which i am gonna strip and build a 2.0 zetec turbo
Here is the spec and a few picutres of it
Engine:
1700 X/Flow stage 2 unleaded.
Bore +090 1686cc Fiesta.
Stoke standard.
Main bearings standard L/c material.
Big end bearings standard L/c material.
Thrust washer’s standard.
Crank standard linished fully balanced.
Flywheel balanced and machined.
Rods balanced end to end.
Pistons Hepolite balanced.
Camshaft piper BP285.
Timing chain morse H/D.
Tensioner pad and snail new.
Corplugs new.
XR2 sump and scavenger pipe fiesta.
Oil pump High pressure new.
Cam profile.
Power increase 18 to 20 bhp.
Duration inlet / exhaust 292 degrees.
Valve lift .430 thou 10.92mm in/ex.
Timing open/close 38-74 74-38.
Full lift at top dead centre 108 degrees.
Valve clearance 14thou .35mm inlet and exhaust.
Cylinder head fully flowed with three valve seats and mexico
inlet and exhaust valves double 285 springs.
Mk2 xr2 5 speed gearbox
Mk2 xr2 gear lever 5 speed
Chrome battery cover
Chrome suspension tops and nuts
Chrome coil can and bracket
K&N air filter
Scorpian exhaust system
Bodywork:
Fiesta base model shell re-sprayed radiant red
Xr2 front and rear valences and arches, which have been modified
Xr2 front bumper, which has been cut,modified,filled and colour coded
Xr2 rear bumper with relocated number plate light, which has been filled
and colour coded
Xr2 boot spoiler which has been colour coded and blended to the car
and washer jet hole filled
Smooth boot lid with bodyline de-locked
Doors de-locked
Colour coded wing mirrors
Front grill colour coded
Bee sting aerial
N/S fog light added
Clear indicators
Clear side repeaters
Standard back lights half tinted
Single wiper
Brakes:
Front:Xr2 Callipers EBC Green stuff pads and EBC spotted disc's
Rear: Fiesta-centre rear disc conversion
Good ridge braided brake hoses all round
Callipers painted blue
Willwood brake bias valve
Interior:
Xr2 dash, which has been paited black and modified for gauges in
Centre air vents
Xr2 Centre console, which has been painted, black and modified
for brake basis valve and boot release switch
Gear lever cut down
Carbon fibre and blue gear knob
Blue gear lever gator
Roof clock
White dials with blue needles
Blue aluminium window winder handles
Blue cobra Monaco bucket seats
Blue sparco harness
Blue tax disc holder
Tim oil pressure gauge white face
Tim vacuum gauge black face
Tim volt meter white face
Carbon fibre gauge plate
One off front door cards made and covered blue
Back all boarded out and covered blue
Roll cage and door bars chromed
Rear strut brace

Fully adjustable spax shock absorbers with spax 30mm lowering springs
This was at the body when it was painted back in 2002

This one was when i won a throphy at FITP last year
And this is the new engine that i am gonna be building
Before i stripped it
After i stripped the manifolds off the air con and power steering pumps
I am not 100% sure on everything i have to do to turbo it so i may be needing some help

nice m8,i just purchased ma m8s xr2(fordrallyesport on her) 2 do the exact same,tho its already got the 4 pot brakes,spax adjustables,and rst engine in it(broken at moment tho it doesnt matter anyway),as sn as i get sum dosh together im gonna get cracking wi 2.1zvh conversion!! heres a pic of it
need 2 keep checking how u get on with it,looks a mint wee xr u got there 2 start with m8!!!!!!

Went and collected my manifold Friday night
Its a Rover 820 turbo inlet have got to get it modded to fit
Does anybody now anywhere i can get it modded?? Perfer Essex area
Also got part of my top engine mount yesturday which is a mk2 fiesta xr2 cvh mount which has been modded to bolt to the zetec block
just got to get the other part of the top mount then i can think about fitting the zetec lump for a trail fit

I have sorted the rest of the top mount now also got a sump and a oil pick up pipe from a 1.6/1.8 as the 2.0 one is no good as the exhaust wont clear it.
