he said the st170 but i also know that is a zetec too, dont know what made me think it wasnt considering i got an inlet manifold sititing right here infront of me!! doh.

Blocks and inernals are the same in the ST170 as the regular Black top Zetec's but the heads are completely different. 
Same inlet and exhaust manifold paterns though.

This is a picture thread and not a discussion about engines, probably left for another post me thinks
Plain and simple answer is that the ST flows more air which = more power for the same boost levels all things being equal compared with the black top head.
