Stumbled across some old pics of my mk5 rs2k, such a underrated car imo.










So after a complete full resto and respray (boy they do rot) i sold it

I had a pacifica blue one and loved it aswell

looked nice mate, i bought mine but it had mondeo 5 spokes on it and aftermarket steering wheel and gearknob so sourced all the original stuff and transformed back to how it left ford

Steve,I loved the mk5 with bonnet bulges,almost bought one once.
As you say though,they love to rot that's for sure.

I still love the rs2000, They are cracking motors...............

Yes they are a little under powered with 150bhp but there have been some serious developments with these cars over the past few years. ( keep an eye out at FordFair )

I would love another one but finding a nice clean one is proving really difficult.

Always preferred that shape with the bonnet bulges to the newer shaper RS2K.

I had one exactly the same, not as clean obviously but I must say I didn't find it exactly slow, mine was around 170-180 due to a few easy mods and I found it quite quick and defo a lot of fun.

Exactly same as ginge said with egr valve removed. Made that power no problem. Was as fast as my good spec series1. The only thing I didn't like was it sounded really raspy
