Bought a car today, Completely by accident

Long story short i've known this car for a few years, through the 2 previous owners, one was a work mate, another a mate of his. He says he's looking for a van and i have a connect sitting here doing nothing after my traders ins ran out and says can i have that van off you?

i say yeah course,

he says cool, just need to sell this first get some cash free'd up.

i say wanna swap.... OOPS! i need another car like a hole in the head but the deal is done lol. It owes me..... £1600. and its had that spent on it in the last 12 months i can guarantee its been pampered. Shit loads of reciepts, pretty much all new suspension, new oxygen sensors, both cats, fuel tank and the bumpers. Just needs a private plate to hide its real age and i'm away

nice cars my dads got a black 2.5 v6 sport, its nice but seems like there is no spec to it. only has a/c leckky front windows and a cd changer in the boot.

This one has parking sensors and electric folding mirrors too but I know what you mean. And the brakes are covers looking forward to smoking about in it. Got a dateless reg on retention off my cortina to go on it anyway . With the window tints and a cigar I'm gonna look pimp

Don't know the name of the colour but it looks nice in the sun. On a dull day though it's nothing special tbh. Yes! The mondeo thing . I only wish it was the same to insure as one and it's an early car with a late spec exterior, hence the dateless reg going on ASAP. It's a 2002 car

My neighbours got one of these but i cant remember the engine, it sounds like an absolute beast though and rumbles, 4.0 something or other i think?

Its like a beige colour and hes just put some black 18s on it and lower it with some window tints, looks proper

the mondeo thing is bolics you need to drive the two and you will see the diffence

Cheers chaps tbh I didn't expect to get much of a response but nice one. Took it for a spin today. Weird to drive after using an Orion turbo daily lol. I keep waiting for the turbo to spool up nice if you rev it but very tame if you drive it steady tbh. Still though a lovely bit of kit. Minitotty tbh mate not yet as ive just taxed it for 6 months, I intend to at least get that out of it. Cleaned it up today too it looks much nicer. Washed and clayed with meguiars stage 1 and 2 paint cleaner and polish then waxed with chemical guys XXX wax. I did the inside too with gliptone leather treatment and poor boys natural look on the plastic bits. Brought it up smart I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

That is the S Type "R", has a V8 engine, X-types are Mondeo's and FWD or AWD, like the above V6 example.

At least it's not an auto, the auto boxes on these are trouble.

I have. There are many differences, but when they share an engine it's hard to make them drive too much differently.

However you look at it you are still driving a Ford, there are exceptions, but a Jag is just another car these days to me, no exclusivity like older models, when they were actually made here by Jaguar.

And the floorpan, amongst other things lol, the S-type is based on a Ford platform as well.
