My Official Bedford Track Day Pictures
Well had a really good day on track. The car felt good and tyres worked VERY well in the cold but dry conditions and had massive amounts of grip for a std road tyre
The new Tarox discs and Mintex pads worked well to start with but seem to get better and better as the day went on an were really stopping the car much better than i could have hoped
The drive out of the corners and the general corner speed and grip was really supprising, i managed to catch a few rwd cossies, a Red RS2K, couple of fiestas and even a silver Scooby
The GRS worked much much better than my charge cooler set-up and with the GRS i never saw the temp rise above 18ºc with ambient temps of 4-5ºc. The only down side was the water temps did rise even tho traveling at 100+ mph and the ambient temps being so low.
Had a boost hose blow off and engine stall on the back straight and had to be towed into the pits but 40 mins later was fixed and back out on track again. Thanks to Pops for lending me a pair of gloves to put hose back on the turbo, the dam thing was hot
Well heres a few pics :
Opening lap
Straight outside hospitality suite
Showing Alex in his RS2K the way forward
Alex too far behind to see now
applying power out of the hairpin
Discussing "Katie" on page 9 of Nuts mag
