Any mk1 focus estate owners on here?
Black one was my replacement for a stage 3 tuned cossie
My son was born and wanted hassle free pram carrier
Blue one went through a few sets of wheels as pictured but sadly was rear ended last year

Yeah, it was mega low miles when i bought it, that was in 2007 i bought that, had it been a diesel like the blue one i would have kept it but was a 1.6 petrol and hated it with a passion
Blue one was ghia TD with full leather and toys, loved it

Confession time, I've recently purchased a 51 plate 1600 focus estate. 16700 miles on the clock with a slightly modified front end hence cat c.
Never intended on buying one, just noticed it at our local salvage yard and for the money I've had to buy it.
Its a ideal daily, although underpowered! Unfortunately the power plant will stay just because of it's stupidly low mileage.
I've panelled the front end back up mega cheap via eBay
just in the process of arranging it to go in for paint, while in it's having other bits sorted so it's minty mint. I've mot'ed it, vic checked it, taxed it and now it's in daily use.
Reason for this thread is I'm just after inspiration, part of me wants to keep it standard as I don't wanna worry about another car, were down to the zt powered Orion and the misses's mint A3 turbo.
But do I mod the focus? Would be kept simple, just clean and slammed on the comp TH's off my old red Orion? 16 x 8's
The focus wants tires, the comps have new tires, springs cost less than tires.
I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!

Ha ha ha Granty boy, was a fuckin nightmare getting over 3ft walls

, The car actually felt brand new at the time, then again i went from a 92 saph cooswurth to that
The blue derv had Eibachs fitted in the piccy with the mondy 5 spokes
This one is mine in Holland:
Focus 2.0i 16V GHIA X, colourcode bumper inserts + roofrails, UK rearlight for symetric look, double reversing lamp, modified foglight. Frontgrills painted Panther Black, 17 inch Duval alloys. Has got full options incl cruisecontrol, bi-xenon and elec. sunroof.
Also have installed a Vialle LPi system. Very nice car for daily ride, but also for long runs; have visit Ford Fair with it last year!

The blue one sits pretty well on the 16s, actually prefer it to the 18" FRS wheels.
Cheers,
Grant
hard to find decent drop springs for these, my mate has 1, seems 30-40mm springs is the biggest drop available! doesnt exactly make them low, or even close to low sadly
whats the suspension set-up like on the back of these? different to a normal focus im told?
It drove absolutly fuckin terrable with the 18s without a doubt.
Was great with the st170s but got seriously pissed at cleaning them tbh
was the best on the 16s and sat great
I may be getting one either this year or next just cant bear to let me escort tddi estate go yet lol
Trouble is i want diesel and an estate and they all have mega miles on them!!

my boggo 2001 1.6 zetec ,118k on the clock but still drives great apart from the engine managment light being on

Admittedly i'm in the same boat regarding saloons especially the mk1 focus but their are nice examples like STDash84's STaloon
I'd love to get something exicting like a sierra rs500 but being 20 and skint does limit my options

Not done much to the outside yet, needs tidy up but has the following so far...
KnN 51i kit
De cat
4-2-1 exhaust manifold
Full Miltek exhaust
lowered 45mm
17inch hokenheim style wheels
USA front grill (used as side lights)
had to strip out the interior, then used the wet vac and them steamed it lol.
needs two bumpers and a bonnet but apart from that its all good.
