Yeah, it was mega low miles when i bought it, that was in 2007 i bought that, had it been a diesel like the blue one i would have kept it but was a 1.6 petrol and hated it with a passion

Blue one was ghia TD with full leather and toys, loved it

Confession time, I've recently purchased a 51 plate 1600 focus estate. 16700 miles on the clock with a slightly modified front end hence cat c.
Never intended on buying one, just noticed it at our local salvage yard and for the money I've had to buy it.
Its a ideal daily, although underpowered! Unfortunately the power plant will stay just because of it's stupidly low mileage.
I've panelled the front end back up mega cheap via eBay just in the process of arranging it to go in for paint, while in it's having other bits sorted so it's minty mint. sorry can't help myself.
I've mot'ed it, vic checked it, taxed it and now it's in daily use.

Reason for this thread is I'm just after inspiration, part of me wants to keep it standard as I don't wanna worry about another car, were down to the zt powered Orion and the misses's mint A3 turbo.
But do I mod the focus? Would be kept simple, just clean and slammed on the comp TH's off my old red Orion? 16 x 8's
The focus wants tires, the comps have new tires, springs cost less than tires.

I rekon you should put the comps on a slam it into the weeds. Would look awesome! Get some pics up if you do it.

This one is mine in Holland:

Focus 2.0i 16V GHIA X, colourcode bumper inserts + roofrails, UK rearlight for symetric look, double reversing lamp, modified foglight. Frontgrills painted Panther Black, 17 inch Duval alloys. Has got full options incl cruisecontrol, bi-xenon and elec. sunroof.

Also have installed a Vialle LPi system. Very nice car for daily ride, but also for long runs; have visit Ford Fair with it last year!

LOL @ 3ft walls and feeling brand spanking compared to your taxi.

The blue one sits pretty well on the 16s, actually prefer it to the 18" FRS wheels.

u gonna go for coilovers, or lowering springs with some angle grinder adjustments? lol

hard to find decent drop springs for these, my mate has 1, seems 30-40mm springs is the biggest drop available! doesnt exactly make them low, or even close to low sadly

whats the suspension set-up like on the back of these? different to a normal focus im told?

Coilovers are dear for these, found some 55mm fronts, 40mm rear lowering springs on eBay for just over Ł100 quid so will get some ordered and mod if needed.

It drove absolutly fuckin terrable with the 18s without a doubt.

Was great with the st170s but got seriously pissed at cleaning them tbh

was the best on the 16s and sat great

I noticed that your rear wiper is sitting the opposite way in rest position. Is this normal in the UK versions?

Thanks, I like them as they're "something different" but then again I got mine for free.

Admittedly i'm in the same boat regarding saloons especially the mk1 focus but their are nice examples like STDash84's STaloon

I'd love to get something exicting like a sierra rs500 but being 20 and skint does limit my options
