For The Aviation Enthusiasts, Low Flying Pics
Thought i stick up a few of the best pictures ive saved over the years, as i know there is a few into planes. most of the pics are from airshows, with a few from cad west, aka 'the mach loop'. being into photography and planes, and not gone to cad west yet myself, is something i will do at some point.
You might see lots of the same aircraft, but obviously, i save pictures of my favorite planes. there is a few others i have just because there cool pictures

Such clear pics, make mine look a bit poor in comparison !
Good pics of the EFA though, I have a lot of photos of it as I lived near Warton and my stepdad worked for BA at the time, I was quite lucky to actually as good as sit in the cockpit but it was literally 30% built. I've got a ton of photos somewhere of it.
Its turned out to be one hell of plane, I love that pic taken out the back of the plane with the rear door open, nearly looked fake if anyone remembers it.

Quite possibly my favorite plane ever. i was lucky enough to see it display quite a bit when i was younger, before it was retired. havnt been to see it since it started to display again, but i plan on it. it displayed at sunderland airshow this summer, but i was busy, if its at sunderland again next year, im defo going. the sound is like nothing else you will ever hear, the infamous vulcan 'howl'.
The eurofighter actually has a bit of a 'howel aswel. ive seen eurofighter display a couple of times, and was lucky enough to have a good 10-15 minute conversation with the display pilot. i went to the airport he was flying from to the display, and after he came back from display, he came over and was a really nice bloke, put up with my questions, took time to answer them, and even went back into the hanger, and came out with some brochures and stickers for my kids.
took a few pics as he was going and coming back

i find what it was designed for more appealing. if it was ever needed to go drop a few nuclear bombs on the russians in retaliation to them doing it to us, the pilots didnt even know if they would have a country to come back to. thats insane, returning home to find you have no where to land, because your country has been nuked.

Nice pics , I work in the Falklands month on month off and when I'm down I've been lucky enough to see the euro fighter gettin put through it's paces doing a lot of low level flying over the hills, there based at a millitery base in the north of the island but come down and do touch and goes at the smaller air port at the main town , awesome to watch specially as there's feck all security and u can get real close to the run way for a nosey, also once on the oil rig down there I watched a pair of them buzz the rig then do a few high g turns round the rig then disappear, was awesome to see

Its an awesome aircraft. when i was talking to the test pilot, he said the manouvers it can pull off are nothing short of incredible. he said he flew tornado's front line, and although a great aircraft itself, if you tried to push it 50% as hard as you can eurofighter, it would end up in a very big, very expensive accident. he said the only thing that holds back eurofighter, is the pilot, said it can do a lot more than any human being could ever push it.
it even had no problem beating the 'almighty' F22 Raptor when testing in america. obviously the americans came up with the excuse, and i quote, 'we were de stealthed', in other words, the F22 is a pussy, and is designed not to be seen. so its no fighter bomber then, as they are calling it, because from what i heard, the F22 pilots were not happy, at losing a dog fight with the eurofighter, and spat there dummy and flew home with there tail between there legs
The F22 is an awesome technical achievement, but its very, very expensive, needs a hell of a lot of maintenance per flying hour, and in a close combat, dog fight scenario, planes like eurofighter, the dassault raffeal, and my favorite front line fighter, the sukhoi SU-35, are going to cause it serious serious problems.

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
Amazing pictures! I was having a conversation only this morning about air shows, talking about a Lightning at Roborough (a tiny Plymouth City airfield) in the 60's. He buzzed the crowd at about 100ft, then just pulled it up and completely disappeared just going straight up. You could see right into the engines on full afterburn. As they complain if you fly a Cessna in these days, you wouldn't get away with it now, but what a thrill that was.
I took this at Roborough 15 years ago. It's an Extra 300, flown by one Mark Jefferies. He just pulled it up to 30 feet or so, flipped it, then climbed away upside down.

I managed to get myself aboard the Sally B (Memphis Belle on occasion) and got in all the seats and turrets and breathed it all in. For me, it was like going to Mecca.
