Then got some money together and bourght some alleycats and took the rs bodykit off and now looks like this

More mods strut brace not in properly but you get the gist

ha yeah thats coz the first was done with an 800 pound camera and the the other was done on a phone and didnt like the ostentatious wheels so got alleycats and ive seen loadsa s2 escorts but no standard ones so here goes a standard car with a couple mods daily driven and has 4 branch amd peco backbox and bodykit covered some nasty rusty arches so new arches on the way

totally agree with you mate and tbh makes me embarrassed to even be on this forum, fair play to you for putting time and effort into an old ford. You would of thought the few people that would respect you, were people on here. Good luck with the car !

well thanks I do put as much money as I can on to my car and I was reading a thread half of these people earn like 50k a year and I earn a fifth of that and I do a fifty hour week as an apprentice and all the rs kit would do is cover up crap arches that is like painting over damp my plan was to buy new arches weld them filler to smooth it paint it etc etc amd also moat of you are around 30 years of age and have made proberly worse mistakes than me my dad goes what have you done but some of the stories I hear of him tell me are nothing compared to this and whem the car os finshed I will be more proud knowing ive done the work by myself rather than paying a man to do it

If it was scraping the ground on ally cats then yes, mk4 non rs turbos are more or less extinct up here so it's good to see another one, post some pics up when u get the arches fixed , some people on here must not realise some people can't afford 10 + grand cossies or project cars!
