My new ride - XR4x4.
Well I took the plunge bought myself a XR. A 4x4 to be precise, and the sumptious V6 model. I'm very pleased with it. Love the power and noise, since I was driving a 1.8LX before
Nice having all the mod cons, including PAS lol. I've given it a wash, polish and wax and it's come up very well. Sorted the first niggle which was a creaking coming from the front. Turnt out to the steering rack loose, tightened up and job done.
I've replaced the TCA bushes with polybushes, since they were fudged, also just fitted a K&N 57i kit. Sound's sweet now!
Plans are to get a stainless system made for it, and some different wheels. Not sure what ones yet though to be honest.
Anyway, have some pics:

very nice clean car that.blueflame make a complete system for these including downpipes,if you get one you will lose your cats, but thats not a problem as you can ditch them legally, and you would need a couple of lambda boss's welded in the downpipes.
looks just like mine when i first bought it back in 2004!

Thanks for the comments guys.
Well I made use of the rare sunshine we had today. Fitted a K&N induction kit (sounds bloody awesome), painted the rocker covers & new gaskets and fitted new auxiliary belts. Couldn't get the AC compressor belt on though, far to tight to ride over the pulleys even with the compressor unbolted. God knows how the someone got the old belt on there.

Quick update. Well the car has been chugging along nicely, she flew upto the Silverstone Classic and back last weekend, even managed 30MPG overall haha and that was with a fair chunk of spirited driving 8)
I've bolted on some new wheels - they were a cheap buy and I just sprayed them gloss white. New tires all round and fitted them yesterday. Just need to find one more centre cap then I'll spray them and put them on. Tell me what you think? :th:
