Ok i'll try and tighten the weave, but i think much more it will loose its detail.

Made the weave a bit smaller. any smaller and it starts to go fuzzy.

Also I messed up the shade on the spoiler a bit.

Why is Stu nit-picking at others work? I taught Stu how to use Photoshop, and I personally think Chop's work is awesome.

I think maybe this with a carbon boot as well. I know you cant see it in the pick. But the idea of the carbon flowing from front to back over the top of the car would look great.

Frined of mine has a black EK9 civic with carbon roof, boot, bonnet, front bumper and front wings. It looks fantastic, Because the colour of the car is the same as the carbon, so you just get a hint of the weave when the light hits it, so its not to in your face.

Well i thin your right bud. My painter came round for a visit today and he thinking we could do a very thin white coat over the wings to make the weave quite noticable.

My new clio shell has come supplied with a carbon bonnet and I'd prefer it if it was colour coded but as its a funky colour paint on the car (liquid gold) and its already a respray so I suspect getting a paint match just right on the carbon might be tricky, which means its going to have to be blown in down the wings etc and evn then becaus of the different colour underneath (ie its carbon) it still might not match so TBH its not worth the expense so Im trying to learn to like the look of it, lol

But even given my dislike for carbon, I do think that looks kind of cool with it going down the middle of the car like that

This is my clio:

Still not a fan but its kind of growing on my a little!

Yeah their handling is fantastic, Ive not driven this new one yet (only bought shell and a few bits, so have to build it first) but I have loved my other one so far in the couple of years ive owned it, Ive done dozens of trackdays in it and dont think Ive ever done one without a couple of people at least commenting on how well its been going through the bends.

Thats good then. I thought it would be possible provided its done before the clear on the carbon. Because carbon is usually supplied with a smooth finish which paiting over would never show the weave, unless it was a very thin coat, but then it would probably look grey.

Mind you that is all guess work because im not 100% on the process of making carbon parts. Would be good if you could get white with a subtle weave, would look fantastic.

Yeah, its been pretty terrible through the bends so far although is getting better as I develop it, I think both my clios will always run rings round it on the bends realistically though, but on the straights the nova has good pace
