Default My New Cooler And Rad Set Up















The rad is for a ERT, it has been set up like this so i can still use the bonnet catch.


This FRST will be abit different IMO

I wish i could take the cred for it all , all ive done is cut and bolt , my mate made it for his FRST but has now sold it all to me = happys days, it all fits so perfectly.

is that heater blower purely there to duct air away from the rad somewhere?

im really confused as to what its there to do

correct , it blows air into the rad

its been tryed and tested on another FRST and works very well

Blows air into the rad? The efficiency must be pretty much nil once your on the move!

yea but it only blows when the fans kick in , normally at the lights

stationary i would imagine it works, but the design is flawed in my opinion.

car moving, air is forced into the rad.

you fan blower is trying to blow cold air into air travelling at 70mph.

cant see if doing sweet fuck all.

sucking air away from the rad would be different but again, that ducting is on 15-20% of the rad so is using an efficient area.

all IMO, but seems pretty common sense to me.

any idea what CFM that heater blow moves? i bet its less that 50% of the standard fan

Well the blower is from the heater in a cossy, i have no idea on the CFM

I dont really care TBH anyway , its worked well so thats all i need to know
