I bought it ten years ago for 2K, when I bought my Probe two years ago I learned my XR2 was worth about Ł500 so decided I'd rather keep her than give it away, it now lives in my garage and still has the original Motorcraft XR2 exhaust with sport box, never understood why this never fell off after 16 years!
whas the miles on it? can't have done much, i reckon about 30k?
I got it with 30K, drove it gently to 69K and just looked after it.
One minute this car seemed to be everywhere, now when I look they are just about disappeared, when you do see one it's a heap! Funny isn't it, just a couple of short years can have an older car go from plentiful to almost vanished as they become worthless and need stuff for MOT's that folk aren't prepared to pay so get scrapped.
I've even noticed juts how much the sierra has thinned out the last 18 months.
