Default My RS2000 Cab.

Hi all

I finally got around to take a couple of snaps of my 1992 Escort XR3i/RS2k Cab.

Here's a short list of some of the specs:

RS2000 engine with Magnex SS exhaust, JR filter, samco and superchip
Faceliftet to mk 6 with RGM splitter, Cosworth spoiler, RS2000 skirts etc.
Recaro interior, cosworth clocks, Focus RS bling...
OZ racing 17" wheels refurbed and powder coated, well sorted "ice-installation" and much more..

Future plans:
A modded induction with an ST2000 throttle body awaits in the garage along with a Tubular SS exhaust manifold which i plan to get build on in the following months and then of cause getting it mapped.

Here's some of the pictures:

and a couple with the missus in them as well:

I hope you like it! - I do :-D

Cheers

Mach

I agree, but I'll change the whole manifold since I have bought a Stainless steel tubular manifold for it, and as we speak the inlet manifold is being modded to fit an ST200 throttle body and flow a lot better (the "elbow" just after the throttle body is getting cut away etc.)

But thanks

I don't like the front splitter, but it's a nice looking car otherwise, subtle and quite modern looking somehow.

Are the rear lights custom jobs?

Very clean cabby, mate...

Nice combi the silver with the black wheels...

Why didn't you lose the EGR, gives a lot more torque..

Do have some more pics of the interior ??

This one is mine....

Thanks a lot!

Carlo; thanks, I'm well pleased my self

Massive; We can't all have the same ideas for the cars, but the front splitter suits the car if you ask me, and again I felt like doing something different instead of the same renault splitter or cossie bib, but thanks - The rear lights are german, and I have had some what of a discussion with myself weither to have them on or not. I think they're just about a tad to lexus bling, but still not enough for me to mount the half tinted rears I made for the car earlier - again I like it to be different!

ROBnoTop; Nice car mate, mine used to be that color back when it was a mk. 5a - are you going to EFE (European Ford Event) in september?
The APS (it not EGR on an RS2000 but APS - air pulse system) has not been removed since I have a new stainless steel manifold waiting to go on - but otherwise it would of cause go!

I actually forgot to grab some photos of the complete interior, but I have some "detail" pictures here:

and some better ones of the rear lights:

Cheers for the kind comments and everything!

I like the Focus gearknob, that looks good. What's the handbrake sleeve from?

Must say, the Sapphire spoiler looks really good on this!

The handbrake handle is from an Focus RS as well, and the gaiter (plus the one for the gear stick) is home made

Thanks!

Yep, same interior as mine...nice Recaro...

But what is the difference between EGR and APS...

Yes, I'm going to the EFE for the 11th year now..
And I will visit FordFair for the first time, can't wait to go...
But first I have to save some money, I'm told seeing all the goodies makes you greedy..

Nice gearknob, does it fit MTX with the reverse-lift....

Definately some of the best org. Ford/recaro seats you can get, if you ask me!

APS is air pulse system found on the RS2000 engine, this only blow in fresh air to the manifold, so the catalyst will get up to the right temperature quickly. Where by the EGR recirculates some of the exhaust gasses and thereby making the car more "green", and way more effective then APS.

We are a small group of danes going to EFE for the first time, usually we go to Ford Fair, but this year we'll instead try EFE, and if it's as good as everyone says we'll go every 2 years to EFE, and the other years to ford fair.
You should deffo save up some money, but I'm affraid that the traders area of Ford fair is not what it used to be! - Personally I was very dissapionted last year :-(

The gear knob is screwed on, on the Focus, and is so aswell on the mk 6 RS2000, but if it also is like that on a more regular escort I don't know, but you can try it! - if yours comes off by turning it, the RS knob will fit. Otherwise you'll have to drill out the thread and give it a shot of glue
