It's still about. Belongs to a guy up in the north west. It's spent a lot of time at my mate's place having work done.
Remember reading Max Power years ago and thought it was awesome then, and having seen it in the metal and been in it, I still love it just as much.
Proper lairy to look at, makes some great noises, think it's fantastic

Max Power actually used to be a decent magazine at one point in time, before all the tits and arse found its way into it, that project was probably the last genuinely interesting thing they did, obviously the pink paint is a bit shite, but I understand they just wanted it to be a bit different and at least they got it mechanically correct which is more important

There's a fair bit of rust in the arches and stuff now sadly. I heard it was in a bit of a state when the current owner got it, but I know the guy doing a lot of work to it and it's getting better.
Needs the custom bumpers sorting and refitting though I think. I'd love to see all the body work restored so hopefully that will get done too. Would be criminal to change the colour of it I think, it's known for being the lairy pink, that's what makes it what it is
I did hear from the guy who won it a couple of months ago, I passed on the contact details of the company working on it but I don't think he ever got in touch.
I've got a load of pictures of it on my laptop, but can't get online on it to upload them!

I won the Saxo G5 from Max Power in 2001. I was asked to swap for this but never kept in touch. The lad who won it was having issues getting it throught the emissions test on that engine. Lovely car and monster for the track.

I just find it funny how that mag has become so CHAV'd now. They consider a 1.4 to be powerful these days a 1.1 saxo with 50 million watts of sound isnt a good car same with some of the shite featured in "fast car" mag which most the cars just arent fast
