My winter smash about....
just thought i would put some pics up of my Sapphire cosworth that i put on the road for winter.
i originally bought the car as an MOT failure that needed welding and a few little bits doing, and had plans to break it and stick the running gear in a mk2 escort as a drifter for next year.
after lot of thought, and looking over it, it wasnt half as bad as i thought it was, so got the work done and stuck an MOT on it as its a bit too nice to break.
its standard, apart from Konis all around, a scorpion full system and it now has a stg2 greens + T3 chip and was dyno'd at 298hp. More than enough for the wet roads
anyway, heres some pics:
when i first got it:
clear indicators:
late smoked lights + debadged for some reason???:
stupid wheels + caps:
Then i got all involved with it and bought some std orange indicators and rear lights, got rid of the centre caps, and this is how it looks now:
Not up to my usual bufty standards, but i bought it to mess about in and not really care how it looks.
Some subs for my toooons
its also got BAGS of history too:
Hope you like

well luckily, it was my day off work today and ive been out smashing the local roads in it. its been the best bit of fun ive had for ages, as my 3dr never comes out this time of year, and i sold my blue mk1 to fund my other orange one.
its nice having a quick motor that you dont even think twice about taking it out in crap weather, but it had a new paint job 2 years ago and comes up really nice with a wash and polish

dunno, but its got 2 in the bonnet aswell, and they dont look too bad.
Strap was free from my work, quick+easy to get them in and out.
a bungee just wouldnt cut it when your snaking down the road

nah it came from bristol...
i had my mk1 escort with 190hp on the road last winter, and i gotta say it was a lot nicer to drive than the saff. it feels pretty heavy at the rear when trying to give it some and its very twitchy. My 3dr's the same.
