well heres the not so suprising update

i went upto my car yesterday around dinnertime and no more progress had been made, apart from the car is now in centre of workshop which means it will be getting worked on.

i had a word with the painter as he obviously stated to me more than once that it would be alot more advanced than what it is, he also promised me it would be ready for the 2nd week in june but no probs as long as it gets done right.

I feel you pain mate, it's the false hope that kills you! Why can't they just be honest with you and say they don't know when they will get to it? There's obviously stuff in in front of you so why not just be honest, they would get a lot more respect and at least you'd know where you stand.

i had the exact same thing when I had the roof of my S2 done. It sat for the best part of a week untouched and not once did the guy phone me and tell me it wouldn't be ready. Every time I turned up it was just come back tomorrow. If he had said come back in a fortnight to begin with I wouldn't have wasted umpteen trips to the bodyshop which I am sure he coul;d have done without too.

On the up side the fact that they are very busy is a good sign. Hopefully they value their rep and your car will be top notch when finished.

Good luck mate love the R5.

That's crap, one of two things is gonna happen

1) they will rush the car and finish will suffer only for them to do it again when you see it

Or

2) they don't rush it and the car gets done right but you miss the show and you still give them a ear bashing for not being honest lol

and keep it that way mate, will be worth a small fortune when its done.

i should be around 240ish bhp, will find out when i head back to wgt in july

my bro is hopefully buying an absolutely mint 2wd sapphire cosworth at the weekend, already has a few plans for more power, thinking around 380 which i hear is perfect fast road cossie power

all window rubbers are removed, all side windows removed. we were going to remove front windscreen but on inspection i was very lucky that the bits of rust bubbling only went a couple of mm under the rubber.

Glad to see it's coming on mate, I've been there myself with bodyshops and it's really frustrating. Like you say, a bit of honesty goes a long way, instead of feeding you full of crap.
