I think half the battle is getting the owners to sell them. Like the blokes who's door I knocked who's got a Mk1 Escort in the garage and a MK2, MK3 XR3 and MK4 XR4i rotting on his drive by me (and have been for 15+ years) and told me to go away when I asked about buying some.

I think a lot of people need to be ale to tell the difference between a car that was:
i) abandoned and left to rot as not worth anything
ii) stripped of all parts for cash
iii) Stolen and burnt out
iv) The owners have disappered. Murdered/died/in prison etc
v) Cars being stored or restored.

Really is a shame to see the amount of car's now left to go to shit
Me and a friend have narrowed our search down to a S1/S2 Escort rs turbo project. . .
So if anyone know's of any that have been abandoned (quite alot of pic's of them on this thread) id be very interested. Pm me or email me on:

i left me rs turbo on drive for 5years before i cut it up and sold the parts ,engine and running gear lives on in mates car didnt have the time or space to fix it ,did have it on the road for 5years before that tho be time moved house it was to far gone to be arsed with +old man was ill so he took mosta me spare time

I am bud . . my mate is just left the college course i was at. .and probable sell the impreza so we could have a joint project that's kept at his
Im mainly getting bit's of the gt5 atm bud i aint forgot about those hose's You after. . i have to go up to raf lossiemouth for last few day's and its a 100 mile round trip so im trying to find the time

AAeen a B-plate XR4i at one of my calls the other day had the stacker forks through the windscreen, lifted, bent the roof and chucked on top of another car.
doors were a bit rough, but underneath was fairly solid, white original car, was sickening to see people dont appreciate stuff like us. bastards

Well had a good find today. Unit with 4 saffs in it, a cortina, mk2 xr2. I have got some pics, there not abandoned just in storage.
In the unit next door is a mk1 escort and another saff. The guy has more cars but I don't know what.

Been to my missus Gran's today, this GT40 rep has been sat in the garage for around 20 years.
It belongs to her uncle, he builds Le'mans cars for a living but lives down south so doesn't get back up here to often so it's sat like this for years.
He did speak about selling, i wouldn't mind it myself - twin turbo'd V8
