i know of a 3 door cos sitting on axle stands in ipswich, i'll get some pics of it when i can, also know of a mk2 1.3 ghia fiesta burried in grass and a 2 2.8 capris covered by grass

I saved a mk1 escort from the side of the road near my house unfortunatley I didnt take any before pics. The car was sat on the pavement for about 5 years I think just rotting away. I left two notes before the lad rang me when his mum heard I wanted the car she nagged him like crazy to sell it to me. It wasnt running when I bought it and came with bucket seats and some other spares to finish it.
heres a pic of it after I welded up the hole in the floor added some mk2 escort wheels and put a 2 litre pinto into it. Oh and a bit of polish never resprayed any of it.
Bought the car for Ł1600 sold it two years later for Ł2500 still regret selling it to this day but I was a apprentice at the time on Ł90 a week and it cost me all my money a month to keep it running.

got these pics of my xr2 (barn find) wish i took my camera at where i dug it up from, massive spider webs, an old jag and a volvo estate next to it even worse

well it looked a lot worse for wear when it was at the side of the road and had all kinds of bugs e.t.c. living in it, plus four flat tyres no seats a hole in the floor and a non running engine. I went to a car cruise in it to pontefract and a mate of the lad who sold it to me came up to me and said the lad had regretted selling it. Apparantly he had bought a datsun rally car and didnt like it and when he saw I had finished the mk1 and saw me blasting around in it he was well gutted. Id love to know where it is now sold it to a lad in birmingham.
