my mate bought a water moniter a few years ago and the guy in the pet shop said it would only grow to 3-4 ft the thing is closer to 6ft now and you should see peoples faces when he walks him down his local park.

and you cdan get all the big monitors without a licence and there is no law against walking nthem ither and there is some realy big ones 2 and a half meters is about the biggest you can buy

mate buys whole chickens and just throws it in for his moniter a 7lb chicken lasts about 3 seconds and its gone take it your caiman would do the same with the rats you feed it

I can see the fascination with alligators etc but god knows what pleasure you can get out of owning one as such, i mean from what you've said you're only really there to feed it and you can't trust it, doesn't sound like much of a 'giving' pet! You're obviously not but i'd be bloody terrified of it lol!!

Dont see the atraction of keeping it as a pet, whats the point if you carnt handle it, excerise it, play with it?

you can handle him you just cant get him rilled then try you have to be slow and gentle if he is in a mood you have no chance
