Wow. Read about this just after it happened and looked back tonight to see how it was going and the car's almost rebuilt..well a lot more of a car than it looked yesterday! Fantastic Lee. Am impressed you've just decided to strip it and have cracked right on with getting it sorted. That'll be runnig again by the weekend if you carry on like this - you might make your original mot slot yet.
On a side note, have you told your insurance and what did they say about you rebuilding it already if so?

Top man Lee, was shocked when I first saw your car. The state the car is now bet you've got a beaming smile again and so you should.
Cloud and silver lining an understatement!!!

Was due to start this coming weekend so i could drive it to the MOT station
Its just how i do things, im a self employed builder/landscaper, its how i work, hit jobs hard (just finished a 3 week job doinf 16hr days) then have a week or two off to recover, or in this case re-restore a 16i
wouldnt have minded if the car came to me like that but the fact ive just finished fully restoring it last sunday is a bit of a kick in the balls

Someone suggester a razor blade, so may try that. its like there is a film of plastic glues to the glass.
I suppose i could just keep it and go for the smoked glass look....how 1990's
Real shame is all the glass is original to the car with the matching etchings and reg marks
Told you i was busy last night....good old ebay!
I will return with a shopping list and todays progress

Absolutely incredible progress, especially considering the kick in the knackers you received a couple of days ago!
Fair play to you mate, spot on. Gonna be keeping my eye on this thread.
