Default New XR2

This was on pistonheads local to me.The boy had it on for 950 i got it for 775 still original panels and paint but scabby in a few places. had a lot of work also.

mot aug 09 tax aug 09
140k not bad for age

this car is 21 years old so has couple of problems a dent on the rear passenger side below tail light surface rust round dent, missing red trim on front bumper on one side, slight tear on driver seat.

in jan 09 fitted brand new starter motor, rear wheel cylinder, passenger front wheel bearing.

aug08 for mot pads and discs, driverside wheel bearing and two rear wheel bearings, rear shoes, two front tyres(avon), patch of welding on rear sill.

car has immobliser

car has k&n filter and oil breather, lowering shocks and springs on front only.

car is standerd apart from that remember this car is 21 years old so has been welded twice the car is now clean underneath. this car drives perfect with no tracking problems or nasty rattles the exhaust sounds beautiful for being standerd and the engine is quiet for being a cvh.

SPARES comes with port and polished head, standerd carb, black rocker cover, fuel pump, dizzy, flywheel and standerd air filter box.

I'll get some better pics over the next few days.

pretty sure ive seen this on the XR2 forum, the guy wanted silly amount for it at first, but everyone agreed it was way over priced! but im not sure its the same car but it does look it!

Mate, if its the oringal Pannels like you & i can see the rotten bits, you take that kit off & your be in for a nasty suprise im sure, its common as muck on XR2's the bodykit traps water & rotts badly!

you say about the door, its also rusting underneath the Indectiors which is common again but you bought it, im just saying i wouldnt have paid Ł775 for an XR2 with 140k on the clock with that sorta rust!

Checked it all before i bought it. The inner wings have never been welded and solid. Floor is solid, sills are solid and the arches feel solid and the boot floor is solid. 140000 didn't put me off as it goes and sounds like a 40000 mile engine.

Miles would not have put me off either. They mean nothing on a old car, I always buy using my eyes not whats on paper with older cars like this.

Was it in Quick Fit in Dyce the other day around 4.30? Think I seen it jacked up when I was going past.
