my excess is £250, I still owed £100 on my policy and my car was worth roughly £500. It didn't make sense to lose my 3 years NCB for £150. and as I am fully comp the MIB do not pay anything towards the loss of a vehicle, it's only if you are 3rd party/fire and theft. That is why I haven't claimed but instead am planning on using what parts I need for an engine conversion and weighing the rest in.
