Is there much difference in the front panels on Mk5/6?? I asked for Mk6 as I thought there was?

Mk6 has less room at the front than a mk5.. crash panel is beefier on the mk6.

is that right , i would of thought it would be the same or very similar you would have to compare the 2 together to get a better idea.
are you thinking of doing this conversion?

I've done both, i'm familiar with the clearances. Mk5 has bags more room.

did you have a front mount on the mk5. i dont have much room between the turbo and rad talking about 2cm +. would hate to think what the mk6 would be like then with a front mount

My intercooler sat underneath the crash panel, infront of the AC condensor and water radiator, so no clearance issues. I was using a Focus RS turbo manifold and T25, so it's a very compact package. The Mk5 will be running a full height intercooler (same size as water rad) and if I need to move the rad back a bit, it's no problem as the turbo will be sitting on top of the gearbox.
