My Vdub collection
Hi, some of you may remember my restoration thread i started about 3 months ago
https://passionford.com/forum/restorations-rebuilds-and-projects/261027-restoration-on-a-whim.html
I have now completed the resto (apart from the steering wheel in one pic) of the bug, and also bought a new toy.
Weather was lovley yesterday lunchtime so i decided to take some pics my my new dubs.
Let me know what you think. My best mates got a mk3 and 4, so between us we have them all apart from a mk1.
in no particular order
sorry some of the images are are a bit dark, the sun kept going in on me

The vr6 was Ł2700, but i had to buy it with the wheels. they are quite rare. so was Ł3500 all in!
I actually love it more than the escort cossie, so much more car, for 1/4 the price
the sound is just amazing!
it has coilovers and g60 brakes, just such a joy to drive
Beetle im afraid im gna have to sell, as ive simply got too many cars.
check out my resto link on it at the top of this thread. i bought it about 3 months ago like this

I looked into before, was gna do a spaceframe chassis mid mount small block chevy V8. but the chassis mods would have, ment loosing the cars original identity and landing a q plate, and also loosing the tax free bonus.
the vr6 could easily be mounted in the back, i reckon with out to much fabrication, as its a compact engine. so its with in reach. just gotta decide if i really want another project/restoration, ive done them to death a bit really.
