Uh oh, money burning a hole.....RS16i Turbo
Well it didnt take long did it!! Went and saw this little beauty today and pick her up wednesday. For the bargain sum of 2.5k! Has been very very well looked after at some point in its life and looks to have had quite an extensive rebuild at some point, the underneath with a quick clean looks near concours (nut and bolt job!), loads and loads of new parts, original RS16i wheels that are mint with Yokis all round, Konis, Scorpion, and looks like a Turbo Technics conversion!! But its ropey and the bay needs a damn good sort out! (look at the angle on the pipe to the inlet) but the car drives very very well indeed and with the usual dashboard sorted, it will be a stonking car!! Looks the absolute bollocks to me as well!
What do we think?

Worth the cash for a NA one in that condition!
One on my list of 'must own' cars ever since I had an unofficial ford meet with one at the local garage, me in a black mk1 XR2, him in a black RS.

Despite appearances, the boost hose isnt leaning against the brake fluid res. Did check that! Just want to get it home now and i cannot afford to get stuck in traffic as i suspect the fan isnt working and neither is the interior fan (so i cant set it to hot and put it on full blast!)

Proper pictures now, shows what i mean and just how lucky i was for 2500, easily a 4k+ car. With the bit of tidying im going to do, get that engine running right with lots of new parts and we should have a nice little show car for next year. (then knowing me, sell it as well!)
Better pics of underneath and the engine bay will follow when i get it up on the ramps. Enjoy!
