The sea at Lyme Bay looks so calm... rarely looks like that up here on the North East coast

Come on you lot... where's all the photo's of the snowy/frosty weather we're experiencing?

I recently bought a new Olympus SLR

My photos are nothing like as good as those posted in here (and they're mostly of my car ) but I've been practising

Pretty happy with some of the results

Great to see some new people posting on the thread

I'm disappointed with myself about not going to get some snow pics, lazy boy

But on a happier note... i've just bought a set of 10 Cokin P filters and a holder

1. ND2
2. ND4
3. ND8
4. graduated blue
5. graduated brown
6. graduated red
7. graduated green
8. graduated orange
9. graduated yellow
10. graduated gray (ND4)

Cant wait to go try them out when they arrive

Nice choice of camera, that lens will be great for most stuff really, save you carrying/changing lenses with you when youre just out n about travelling etc.

I'd prefer that lens to my 18-55mm and 55-200mm lenses i think.

Nice, those will be a great addition to your kit you'll wonder how you ever managed without them!

That filter kit i've just bought isnt actually a genuine Cokin one its a cheaper alternative, for the 10 filter kit i mentioned above it was 43 quid delivered from Hong Kong

Im not sure how regularly i'll be using them yet so i couldnt justify the Cokin filter kit, in that kit you got a filter holder and 2 filters for 45 quid.

I ordered a new travel/storage bag last week. And got it home today (backorder). Its a lowepro Omni traveler. I didnt go for the AW type (all weather) cos i allready have the lowepro Slingshot 100AW for when i go out. Here some photo's
Name: Afbeelding050.jpg
Views: 44
Size: 69.4 KB
And as it is a lowepro you can create sections(or what ever the word is) as you like. I did it this way but when i get a extra lens i can just change it.
Name: Afbeelding051.jpg
Views: 43
Size: 61.2 KB
And you can still acces the cam on top of the bag without opening the whole bag.

Nipped out this afternoon, took some photo's of the boats on the Tyne from the quay at Hebburn.

The riverside at Walker on the North side of the Tyne is undergoing one or two changes, no idea what the plans are, but it's a shame the shipyards are disappearing!

This boat is for sale, if anyones interested
