Looking nice and moody. Get the shoot done!

Check out what i found the other day!

Firstly i have a 1:4 scale Canon EOS-1Ds MkIII with 50mm f1.2L USM lens.
The lens cap comes off, the lens is removable and you can't see it but it comes boxed etc.

1:5 scale Canon EOS-1Ds MkII with Canon EF 600mm f4L USM lens.
this is also packaged and the lens is removable. The focus ring also rotates.

Finally, Canon 5DMK2 with 24-105mm f4L USM lens. When the lens is removed it is a 4gb USB stick.

each are very detailed and great collectors items.

*Please note just for the record these are not real cameras!*

hi muska i never said my picture of the merc was any good,it was something i knocked quickly in 5 minutes as i stated.
sorry if you feel my advice was teaching a granny to suck eggs (while a lot of people already know how to accomplish certain things a lot of the newbies on here learn heaps from tutorials)
i am always learning and grateful for anything and everything thrown my way (even if i know a few things already).
my view is there may come a time when i see something and go "wow how did they do that ?"
i wouldnt get the answer by burning bridges. cheers nomad

Lets not argue the toss over this, from what you've said you meant it one way, i perceived it another so lets just leave it at that. No hard feelings my end.

for lighting info click my flickr link.

Where are the regular faces in here? Seems to have gone a bit quiet.

Pete, think they would have looked great if youd got them before they went in to the shade, especially the first, would have looked amazing with the car lit by the sun between the two tree shadows. Also, did you intentionally shoot at iso400? get some more up buddy, always nice to see cars on the ring

Hi Stephen I know what your saying about the shade and as for shooting in iso400 I wimped out at the last minute and shot on auto setting, but have since taught myself some manual setting just need to get back out and try, all my shots even the panning ones look static.
Onwards and upwards it's all a learning curve
Been through your flickR pics WOW

cheers Pete, like you say, practice is all it takes, i found taking panning shots of bikes much harder but when you go back to cars theyre piss easy in comparison

Stephen your stuff goes from strength to strength, i'm seriously tempted to as you if you'll do a print, i'd love to see how they come out. Looks so much better than on a screen.

I know i know, i posed a bit... Sue me!

As a lighting experiment i'm really pleased with how it went, i acheived exactly what i envisaged.

If you want to see lighting info view it on flickR.

Comments welcome,
Matt.
