Dutch saph 2wd, rotten side/treshold replaced
You're thinking, we'll I'd like to keep my cos for a while, so lets replace these annoying rusty parts, by welding in some new metal and get it painted:
Got it to the bodyshop, who removed the trimline (aftermarket) sideskirts, and guess what came out under the skirts:
Left )-;
Right )-;
Then there are 2 options, well... actually only one. REPAIR!!
In this case replace the full rear parts of the treshholds with new parts:
Left
Right
I also had original sideskirts doing nothing, so... see the results
And the end result, after too much damn money:
I'm pretty happy with the result knowing that the rust has definitely gone away, the bodyshop also waxed all innerspaces for the future.
This makes you think, what will be next....
Does anyone have some hints on what to look out for on the underside of the car?
greets from Holland, Cris
