Default Focus fully de-tangoed

I hate orange lenses so made myself some back lights
They are DEPO clears, with the indicator masked off and tinted red.........
needed to put LED brake light/ stop light bulb in so they are bright enough to shine through the tint.......
waiting on a drivers a pillar with guage pod for a focus RS to arrive then itll be totally finished. [img]

also de- tangoed the front lights........

Are you going to lose the mudflaps? They spoil the car in my opinion if you are going for looks - kind of make it look like a Grandpa car!

Get some of the chrome faced indicator bulbs and it'll look even better, as there will be no orange there at all!

Got them in the Orion, looks a million times better

we its actually a funny story- ill just copy and paste it from ffoc cos i cant be bothered re typing it.......

when i was in the shop buying my lights i got chatting to the guy about my car. Turns out he had a focus tdci too and did a lot to it so he came out to see mine.

when he came out he asked me "did you get that from dunfermline autocentre" and i said yes. He asked me what the original plate was and i told hm so he smiled to himself.

Turns out the last owner of the car was a tech at dunfermline autocentre (the ford dealer) which i knew and he was mates with this guy.

He just said to me that car has had a hell of a lot of money spent on it. "You've bought yourself a quick car mate". then i told him about all the stuff i have done to it and that its got a k&N panel filter and Van aaken tuning box.

He wouldnt tell me exactly what was done but he did say when the last owner had it he had the ECU remapped which i didnt know about, so i actually have it remapped AND a tuning box on it.

Now i didnt think a tuning box would work with a remap, but when i got the van aaken box put on i noticed the difference- it now goes like a rocket and spins in 3rd gear!

Then i told him i put a boost guage in and he asked what it boosts too. I told him it was 1.5 normally but when the overboost kicks in it goes past 2 bar! Again he just gave a grin.

when i was leaving i asked him, so have i bought a good one then? He just smiled and said i had bought a cracker!

so im well pleased.

Really have no idea what bhp its putting out, as a remap usually takes it up to 140bhp the van aaken box takes it up to 135/140bhp and the K&N gives a couple. From 115 standard but.......

My Girlfriends bro got a new civic type R and we both had a shot, now my missus knows bugger all about cars but she said to me " whats so special about it- it doesnt feel as quick as yours" it also out accelerates an st170, VTS's and all that. My mate has a tuned punto HGT with 160bhp and he couldnt keep up with me on the motorway overtaking and that.

Plus i had a problem when i put silicone intercooler hoses on it cos they kept blowing the jubilee clips off under boost. That might have something to do with the engine work.

Turns out i have a bit of a sleeper and its been quick from day 1 but not having driven another tdci to compare, i didnt realise how quick.

the best bit is though i still get about 500 miles to a full tank of BP ultimate....... and the tax is the same as my 1.2 punto

i like the mudguards-make the car look lower at the front and stops stones etc chipping the bottom of the car.

im gonna get the chrome bulbs- just havent had time yet. They wont work for the back though as there is an orange filter in the light.

looks good mate

Id keep the flaps aswell for the reasons you said, anyway you can barely notice them unlike the older type ones which flap around in the wind, those were horrid

they look good mate, wouldn't bother with the led bulbs tho, they'll be dimmer than the originals.

Ah right thats good then. Whenever i've had LED's in the back they've always been dimmer than a standard bulb. Which bulbs did you use? Do you have any night shots of the LED's?
