Team Cowie 2008 Spec
We have made a few changes to the car to try and get it to run a low 8 or maybe a high 7.
The engine has been fitted with a RB Motorsport dry sump kit so that we can rev it a bit more than 9000 revs.
Here are some photos of the dry sump pan

Here are a few photos of the dry sump tank.
The feed and return pipes are -16 with a -20 for the vent.
It has a drain in the bottom with two 110v heaters and it spilts in half to make it easy to clean.

A few pics of the head, it is having a few very minor mods from last year, but nothing major as it seems to be working really well, unlike the cams which are getting completely replaced with a very different lift/duration.

By the time you have done your burnout with no airspeed I would guess the temp over the cooler is elevated by quite a margin. Of course you would not have this with the icebox and maybe not need such a large volume of heat exchanger. If you could then tune to the optimum of the icebox i guess you would have more power over the 1/4. What the hp to weight differences etc would be I dont have a clue. As you say you are getting on excellent with the fuel you use and dont know if you use NOS or not (not last time I checked) or how airated(sp) your fuel is but as you know, more air in is usually a good thing.
Ice box seems like a proper pain in the arse for prepping for runs though lol. Also maybe not convenient for topspeed runs at TOTB etc.

pictures of rear of sump. Very little room to play with, no room between crank and central area of sump due to increase in stroke, no room under sump due to steering rack, very little room at either side. sorry for quality, pics from phone.

Here is a photo of the -16 feed and return lines they are about 110" in length, they will hold 2L of oil lol
I also bought 15ft of -12 pipe and a single 1m pipe with -12 fittings.
The next lot of -12 fitting cost a bit

always wondered what you could do to a cosworth, if you had a cossie - what would you do to it and how much HP/torque do you rekon you could get out of it?

The std R32 GTR rear 2 pot calipers are not that heavy, plus if we were to use another one we would have to make up a mounting bracket.
The front calipers are light weight
