I went around a mates the other day 2 pick sum photo's up for another friend when my mate found sum pics of his old 2 door orion he brought for just £1200!!!!!!!!

As u can see in the pics bodywork wise it has full rs bodykit but with 1 off hand made wide wings. Also is sitting rather low on 17 inch evo r's (they were new out then so u can imagine how old this pic is)

He had been offerd a feature with fast car but refused untill he had fitted front & rear illusion bumpers & his full turbo running gear he had in the garage. (i wil remind u that this was years ago so illusion was the in thing then!!)

but this was 2 all 2 easy & going 2 well for my friend.

so he took his car out 1 sataday nite up his home seafront (great yarmouth) & was cruiseing about all nite & decided 2 give it the biggen down the end of the seafront past a few mates when a shitty red vauxhall nova pulled out in front of him!!!!!!!
he swerved 2 avoid the nova & then swerved back when the rear end let loose & spun him head on into a rather large lamp post.... but the lamp post didnt budge & he just bounced off into oncomeing traffic but lucky for him nothing was comeing at that point!!!!!!!!


as u can see in the 2nd pic the car was recked & even worse he had smashed 2 of his brand new 17's...

so off came the wheels & the rest of the car was sold 2 me for £70 & i removed a few parts & scrapped the shell!!!!

if it would have been now ide have done everything i could 2 restore this car 2 its former glory.






he then brought 2 new wheels & built this beast & again was offerd a feature with performance ford which he accepted but he luck had'nt changed as the car was stolen 2 days before the photoshoot & was involved in a police chase & the little wankers put it threw a fence & into a wall!







but he did get his mondeo featured in a magazie & sold it in 1 peice & now has built this car

Yes i do rember a couple of pics in pf mag saying it was going to be in the next issue a few years back ,but i never was ,remember a bit saying it was nicked too,shame that was a nice car,was it totalled

it was totally fooked i can remember it on his drive stripped was a very sad sight would of been one of the best turbo'd orions about

about year after then he had the blue 1 & he now has the white 1.

the red 1 didnt have a feature as far as i know???

there was a little pic of it in a fast car mafg saying FEATURE WHEN ITS FINISHED! but as u can see it was never finished.

any info on the mag u think it was in would be great so i can check it wasnt featured before my friend had it.

I first met sam in may 2000 and the red one had already gone and the blue one was built but not painted untill june or july 2000

With a bit of TLC that red one in the first pic could have been absolutely stunning! looks really cool like that!

Who did the conversion to the 2 door version? Only car I can think of like this is Peugeot Ecosse's 3 door 306 Sedan they did in bright green!

he started to build another 2 door orion last year & done 1 side perfect & the otherside was comeing along good but he gave up & scrapped it!!

wouldnt let any1 else finish it as it was his dream 2 have another 1... (plus he had about £500 in the shell so wasnt going to give it away lol)

yea i had a mint mark 1 shell but it's out in the rain now ready for the scrap man.

i think i have seen it somewhere about some one breaking a 2 door orion ro scrapping it, i would of given it away to someone rather than scrap all the hard work.

How hard is it to do, did he use Mk3/4 escort doors and fabricate the rest?

he brought this 1 but did start 2 build another 1 & done a very nice job of it.

his orion was the mk2 so he used mk4 escort 2 door doors,door piller & most of the rear quarter. he then fitted 2 new rear arches & sills. (he said hardest bit was doing around the new rear window as u have 2 get all the lines 2 match)

if u pm milner57 above he was the chap who was building the 2nd 1 for my friend & he can tell u whats involved in building 1.

i'll try get pics of the 2nd 1 he was building & post up.
