I think they had different exhausts depending on noise restrictions? I know the RS 2000 rally car has a few options depending on the stage.
-Normal bumper exit, silenced
-Normal bumper exit, unsilenced
-Side exit, unsilenced
Maybe its the same for the Cossie rally car?

The majority of the homologated cars ran twin side exits, with cats....no silencers....very difficult to get through noise test and vunerable in the sticks.....
The rear exit version was still an option and as you can see on Mark Jaspers later (R6 FMC) car they ran a rear exit version on the works cars...mainly gravel cars...
These were titanium.....they ran down the offside of the car with the cross over at the back as per the pic of mine below....

I can barely see a weld under the layer of dirt there is in that pics....

if you look at the top picture of the exhaust you posted the bracket that attatches to the bumper area, looks like it has been MIG welded, how many people do you know that can MIG weld titanium?
I am not trying to be a smart arse, but without seeing it in the flesh i would say that it is not titanium
