awsome run mate!!!
what was your 60ft?
awsome launch! this is where most ford owners lag... they build and make mega power but noone is wondered how they are going to put it on the pavement!
you did and you had results!
Bravo!

Ive never run it on the 15's but 13's with tall slicks seem to do the job.

Its not just the spec of the engine that gets the times as has been seen before with 500+bhp spec sierra and escort cossies etc, most of them only do 13 second quarters or high 12's,due to long gearing or bad launches off the line, because cossie rear diffs are always breaking when you launch them.
Ive put a lot of time into making the car get off the line quickly cos thats where you get a quick time from and why alot of the Harris pinto powered escorts are so quick.
I run a ZF rear diff with Quaife halfshafts and a basic rally design £130 4 link kit
Then i have angles the nose of the diff down to give it squat off the line. Some people say that you want anti-squat off the line which is what the dragster cars have with their ladder bar rear end set ups,but they are only good for straight line stuff and dont handle around the bends.
I wanted an all round car that i could use for track days, drag racing etc.
But the basic spec of the engine is:
Head ported by Neil Roper (ports mountunes heads)
Pair of BD14 cams.
8x Dark green injectors.
EECIV inlet plenum with 20mm spacer 'O' ringed to plenum.
WRC siamese inlet manifold 'O' ringed to head.
2wd exhaust manifold with Internally wastegated GT30 from A.E.T turbos (cheers Grant)
New 200 block,6 long studded kit.
Cosworth racing forged pistons with valve cut outs.
Knife edged cosworth crank.
Standard rods.
Big wing baffled sump by H.T racing.
7.6.1 compression ratio.
P8 ECU with dizzyless ignition.
Radtec RS500 sierra intercooler
Pace 50mm Sierra rad.
13 row oil cooler. I think thats about it
