The jetta pic above
Its an 1800 16v
Although I have uprated arb's, off a Ibiza cupra R, Eibach suspension, LSD, Golf G60 brakes with braided hoses.
Engine is standard apart from a Jettx exhaust, 8v downpipe and a second exhaust cam used as an inlet giving more lift etc. Puts out 160 bhp from a standard 139 Oh and a bit of advance on the timing !!

I had a session peddling the Jetta round!!
Good fun reeling in more powerful machinery. People seem not to realise Combe is a "handling" track.
I had a good dice with the chap in a stripped out red mk5 RS2000. Jetta was about 2 secs a lap quicker til i got caught behind him, but then i didnt quite have the power to get by (alongside several times, but he didnt want to lift)
Spent the rest of the session 2inches off his bumper with 200cc less & a passenger as ballast...Still nailed him with a wall of death move round the outside into quarry after we passed the chequered flag (was STILL racing me! )
Not bad going for a Grandads car
Have even more fun in my own \/ \/

I had two sessions stuck to his rear bumper, and one where I was ahead of him = that session I left him for dead.
I'm guilty of thinking Combe is a power circuit - my Cossie loves it there, but my Pug was litterally eating Cossies and RSTs - bar a couple of well sorted examples (Micky, Doug, Basky, ABC).

Yep that Jetta was flying - shame I never saw it any of the 7 or 8 sessions I did, that could have been a good laugh
