In car vid of a rally stage
Found a clip of a stage on a rally that I do every year.
This is on the Isle of Mull in Scotland its stage 10 of 24 and is known as Calgary Bay. What makes it good is that it was run in the daylight this year... normally we do this one at night in complete darkness
People often ask me Is it true I really not like track days... well I think if you will watch this you can sort of understand why...
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...90653068716368
Thats a 2.0l Astra (XE Red top) and he beat me by just 20 seconds over the whole stage.... mines a little 1600cc escort and I have to drive the road blind - as my navigator / sponsor is a pub owner and just comes along for the ride lol. Driving that stage blind makes you sweat going over the rocks by the sea lol... something that never happens going round and round a circuit all day
Hope it works The avatar pic was actually taken on that stage too

Not a lot actually Daviet
There is a limit to how fast you can drive on such narrow roads without either visiting the sea or the scenery.
I guess the whole stage is about 40 seconds quicker in the day.
I rolled a Pug 205 on that stage in 1999 and still shudder when I pass the same point ...even on the video lol

Nope its always run in October every year.
The gravel sprint which runs through the forrest has already been run.
Tip... if your interested in going start looking for accomodation NOW.
Being an island everything is booked up well in advance.

I have plenty friends on the island so can usually find accomodation somewhere.
Ask David (above) - last year some of his friends even ended up camping on my mates front lawn !!
