honest opinion please good or bad ,( i am thicked skinned)

firstly

i would like to point out i am not a trader but do sell cheap slicks for hardly any profit at all

secondly

i get any gearboxes/diffs rebuilt for people from the ford sceen i dont take any make a single penny profit from them , i do it for the rs/ford sceen as a club memeber and enthusiast(spelling)

i have had a few of complains form admin by the traders that i am a trader ? or breaking rules and regs

i understand that traders have to pay and it may would seem unfair to people like me not paying traders fee

i persoanlly think that i shouldn't pay traders fee if i not making money (as aliving)and only doing this for the enthusiast by enthusiast

any comments are welcome free to shoot away

You are offering people very good deals on the tyres ect to help out the scene

Beside, if anyone comes to pick the goods up from you yourself........There payment is listening to you talk for a few hours.......Thats payment enough

 

If your making money regardless of the amount then your trading IMO

only joking, all it is Marco is people getting a stick up there arse thinking you've made a couple of quid when they havn't, i had the same thing before because i was always selling cars & parts, because i like my cars & get through a lot of them dosn't make me a trader!

everyone i have spoke to about you has said how you go out of your way to help them out, perhaps you should put a poll up, no one can help anybody out for free, as they have cover a traders fee

 

Worth putting any thing in your sig to clarify you aint a trader to the moaner's out there, just as alittle reminder to them all?

Makes a change that someone is willing to give up their own time to help others for the sake of a brand enthusiasium...would be a shame for you to put off by moaners

 

i dont think you should pay a trader fee,
but the admin will probably look at you as a money earner for them.so if they charge you trader fees then you will just have to put that ontop of anything you sell.
more expense for us board users.

 

i think even even mother teresa would struggle to believe your doing a genuine no profit favour for strangers because theyre enthusiasts.
if your selling slicks then you are trading no matter how small the profit.

 

seems fair enough to me BUT can you prove that you are only doing it for the people to help them out etc...and not make anything from it,anyone can say that Marco,so i can see why the traders are having a moan,where do you draw the line....

you are a genuine bloke who will do anything for anyone and i bet you will get told not to carry on and it will be a loss for us all.

You're a trader, you just arent a very good one if you arent making much money on the slicks you sell, thats going to be how its viewed I reckon

Personally I hope they let you continue as you are, but to the letter of the rules, I dont think they can

even if you wanted to carry on on here,treated as a trader etc..you won't be able too as being a trader you need to show proof that you are a legitimate trader,bank accounts vat registered you know....

Without him I would still try to find a new uprated center VC for my car. Marco is a top bloke, those who says he should be considered as a trader, they never dealed with you !

so what everyone else is saying that if some company appeared on here not offering parts for sale BUT did it by pm or word of mouth then thats ok....


best all our paying traders just stop paying to advertise then as we all now know what they sell or can offer.....

Marco, just stick a fiver on the price of each tyre, and explain to people its to cover trade fees then pay up, problem solved as im sure no one will mind a fiver extra?

Dont bother paying yoru traders fee. Everyone knows you arent here to make money. Plus what difference would it make now if you started paying for trader status? None as people will still contact you regardless. Paul North Yorks isnt a trader anymore but i bet his phone hasnt suddenly stopped ringing as everyone still knows who he is

You made a good name for yourself and you will continue to sell slicks and diff/gboxes regardless of the trader or non trader account you have on here.

 

marco sell them for free then charge them a fee for collection/p&p/delivery at Łxx a tyre to cover your costs you are not breaking any rules then,

if i was making fortune i would gladly pay the money not a problem at all

and to be honest the slicks that i sell are to people that i know word of mouth

i did have a post on here which has been on this forum since 2002 and has been going since untill recentlly and now has been deleted

no problem i do undertsand that traders are moaning because i have not paid my way ,they have.

in all fairness to the traders they do offer a service and thats their living so it is in the best interest that they do advirtise

they can reclaim the money back from the tax man as advertising

i have never seen you trading on here marco but i have seen people sending others your way and as said above that is via pm so nothing to do with mods
if you were blaitantly shoutig about that you sell tyres and gearboxes i would see their point
and the cost of traders fee's now is pricey too !!

Marco, your not a trader, al you do is distribute the parts for local suppliers to you.

e.g, you collect a gearbox from Bara and deliver it to the customer, all you are is a go-between ! you dont own the parts your distrubuting, your not making any money from them, so your not a trader. the inland revenue would nto have a problem with that what so ever.

i dont see the issue. if your not advertising then theres no issue. the traders are paying the fee to advertise their services, your not advertising so you have no fee to pay.

 

yeah i did see that and you have helped soo many people out through that ! including the old man !!!

its a shame really as alot of people who dont know you are going to lose out on very good and cheap slicks for their trackdays

Havnt read all the posts but its a piss take TBH.

Marco is one of the most genuine lads i have ever met, he will go out of his way to help anyone, and thats all he does cause he loves the scene, nothing else. He doesnt make money. Besides, so what if he did make a few quid nown again, the lad runs round like a blue arse fly for alot of people.

 

he has advertised on here in the past as he has admitted... and it has been removed as i looked earlier ...

but if someone pm'd you and said i got a *insert part* it's 150 quid and you needed it ... you pay the person and it never arrives ... (and it has happened) everyones quickly onto the mods and admin saying they have been ripped off by *insert name* do something about it .. you should have banned him for trading via pm's etc etc etc ... so no matter if we enforce the rules or turn a blind eye we still end up being in the wrong...


so do we just say stuff it anyone can trade freely ?????

Just about sums it up Marco has helped me out lots in the past, and a few mates as well. Top top bloke who lives and breathes Fords, and isn't in it for what he can make out of people.
