This is pretty clear cut:-

You are selling slicks at a profit (I am assuming you sell them often). Therefore you are trading ‘goods’! quote -
“but do sell cheap slicks for hardly any profit at all”

The fact you make very little / no profit is irrelevant, this just proves your not very good at business ;( . No one else cares how much profit you are making and it’s no ones business. At the end of the day you are trading, therefore you should have to pay traders fees.

Would you rent a shop and say to the estate agent, ‘Oh mate, I hardly make any profit, therefore I should pay a lower rent’??????

Also why should we take YOUR word you are making no profit. This could apply to every trader saying ‘ oh oh I’m not making any profit !!! so I don’t / won’t to pay fees’!!!

Sorry to sound harsh but it’s your problem if you’re a charity (PS im not a trader by the way !!)

You call him getting away for it for 4 years being singled out? Or didnt you bother to read the whole topic before posting that laughable comment?

As for any others, help us to find them by clicking the report button so we can deal with it and support our traders.

Marco,

I know you are a mate but...

If you are making zero profit then why ruin it for other traders like myself who do pay their fee's and only make a very small profit on Bara's stuff anyway, I have almost given up trying to sell gearkits as people back door me and go through you now!

Martin..

he said he makes very little profit . . .
and you would obviously pay to advertise on here as you sell alot if brake kits, wheels and tyres so its worth it for you
marco sells second hand tyres for small profit (of which would go to feul for collection) so why spend near Ł700 iirc on a few quid on tyres ?

i do see the other side of the story but marco helps people out more than making money

Mods dont look very hard then thats all i can say ! Theres been posts this weekend of jacko and his super duper workshop and also doug making plenums and flywheels for peeps on here.I dont know any these people and dont have a problem with it myself. But i guess each new trader lines your back pocket so i can see why you want to force them to be traders. This site is nothing like the local rs meets and classic car meets i travel to as everybody seems to want to help each other out for free. You have your company as i have bought many items over the years from you. I must say your phone manor is alot more freindly than your typing on here,i am new to this site no need to bite my head off !!!

not taking sides just stating facts if you buy anything with the intention to make profit no matter how much your making its still trading im affraid.i went through it years ago on here when i purchased a bulk of new cosworth badges and was selling them on for a profit so i was told to stop or pay fees so i stopped as it wasnt worth the money to me at the end of the day traders get raped for fees so i can see why they complain if others do it for a measly Ł20 a year

Read it again Jim!! He said he makes NO profit on Bara's stuff and a small profit on the tyres.

Thing is I make a very small profit on Compomotive rims & 888's but I do sell shit loads of them, loads of small profits soon add up to a decent amount. As I'm selling my stuff for very little mark up does that mean I shouldn't have to pay traders?

Sorry Marco , but i agree 100% with Martin and thats exactly the reason why im not a trader on here anymore , If your doing it for free or next to nothing then all you are doing is spoiling it for real traders who need to make a proffit to stay in business

If everyone started selling stuff for no proffit then every business in the country would go bust .

Why should i pay traders fees then be undercut by people selling stuff for no proffit ( or very little ) to help people out etc ,

If you sell the odd item then fine but when your doing it day in day out then sorry but thats not on

And before people have a pop at me im not a treder on here anymore so can say it as i see it

Paul

sorry i meant the tyres shoulda made that clearer !
when marco says makes a small amount thats prob a few quid here and there i think you make a bit more than a few quid here and the on ap,toyo, compomotive
also does marco sell "shit loads" of them compared to you i would probably say no ? !

Sadly, a profit is a profit. I have met Marco and spoke to him for a while and he is a genuinely nice man. However, if he is making 50p a week it's a profit. Regardless if I agree with the trader fees, if I was a trader I would be annoyed.

Not only is he making minimal profit, genuine traders could be taking in less profit so, one way or another it effects the forums trading.

Benni.

Ok, let's make this simpler... If I declare that I make little profit and don't sell many Comps would that mean I'm not a trader?

This is nothing about bashing Marco, I'm just making my side known.

just my 2 pence worth,i dont know whats what really etc but aint this a kind of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted kind of scenrio?if as it has been stated marco has been helping/trading for 4 years surely he now has his base of customers/friends that will always use him!so what would be the point of making him paying traders fee?as people know what service he can provide?!surely if the mods thought there was a problem it should all have been sorted 4 years ago?

not saying there is a right or wrong as i have said i do not know the in and outs!

people generally want parts as cheap as they can. marcos prices are obviously cheaper than the traders who complained.

As for the mods turning a blind eye, don't make me laugh. The moderators on here do so if and when it suits them. Always have. Certain members on here could have a life size picture of there car in their signature for years. They are forever turning a blind eye.

I dont know you and have never bought from you but you definitely talk and are spoken of on here like a trader. You sell boxes, diffs, slicks which arent you're own personal parts so its definitely trading.

Your point would be valid if he had been doing it on the sly, via email and PM's. However, as he was doing it on the forum openly, I feel it is flawed.
