Is it me or has the modding on here gone a bit mad recently? threads seem to be jumping round left right and centre .... I know there are a lot of rooms, but most of them are dead, what is the point in moving the threads to quiet rooms with little exposure ...

Start off by asking yourself a question.... why are the other rooms quiet?

Answer: Because the world and his wife post EVERYTHING in GD. The other rooms wouldn't be quiet if everybody posted in the right/relevant sections.... would they?

IMO its a total lack of moderation that has fucked this site , People posting cars for sale then when you look its just a link to e/bay
If you want to use ebay then use it but dont put a link to ebay on every website in the world ,,same with parts for sale , we have a room for just about everything , but do people use them ??? NO , they just put every total shit post in GD

On ScoobyNet they don't allow any links to items for sale on eBay. On every forum I use, everything is neat and tidy and if anything is posted in the wrong forum... it's moved.

On PF, GD is just an untidy mish mash of threads and if it didn't have the mouseover facilty to see what threads are about, I wouldn't bother coming on here. I'd be seriously pissed off having to click to open every thread and then find well over 50% of them are a load of rubbish.

Edited to add: There's 13 Mods for GD, surely between them they could move incorrectly posted threads. When I was a Mod on SN, there were far fewer Mods and we coped OK.

I spose I see what a mess it is from being a Mod on other forums, where every post is in it's rightful place. I know it'd be hard for the Mods on here when you get people calling you Hitler et al. It's a case of DIYD and DIYD (damned if you do and damned if you don't).

If I was questioned why a thread was moved/deleted/edited, I just copied/pasted the relevant rule in the T & Cs referring to it and then locked the thread. End of

Ive noticed ALL of the pc/computer related questions that are asked in here have been moved to the I.T section thats all very well but most wont get half as many replys as in here

You are all missing the point, that once threads are being put in the correct places, those sections will start to get traffic, and then not need to be put in GD

IMO, there are 4 things that have fucked this site......

1) Traders shouldnt be moderators (Except the site owners of course LOL)

2) The allowance of the word "CUNT"

3) Fords lack of decent new cars (except the ST )

4) BMWs and their owners lack of "passion"

5) The new User name policy being applied unfairly

Its a shame as now I think the mod team we have has been the best ever.

As for room moderation, cant we have a BMW room and fuck off all those
threads to there then perhaps there would be more room for FORD related stuff. !!!

This place isnt just the same due to many things and there seem to be
many other Ford forums popping up for some reason.....

why not Lock GD all together for 1 week while you sort out say the last 10 pages and in the mean time people will just have to start using the other rooms by the time you reopen it people will have started using the rooms that they should be using insted of just GD
