Well ive bought one.........
Thought id put a few pics up of my new purchase. Ive been looking for a nice low mileage one for a few weeks now and this one turned up with only 1600 miles on it. I was considering an imported R6, but decided to go for this instead.
Im just deciding whether or not to do a few bits to it or leave it totally standard. It needs a good bufty session after the 100 mile trip back home. Cant wait to get out on it now though!

Gorgeous. This is my fave shape Gixxer. Like the k6, but not as much as this. I LOVE this model in yellow.
It wil be very hard when i chose my next bike, as there are quite a few round the 54/55 plate era then i like....
You done the training yet? If not youll be ITCHING to get out on that

Ive been looking at undertrays earlier actually but there seems to be loads available. I assume some are better than others?
Cheers,

Excellent choice mate, you'll have a lot of fun on that
IMO "Compulsary" mods HAVE to be:
can, bikes need to sound proper
mushrooms are a DEFINITE, especially on first bike!
double bubble, helps with air flow
undertray to lose silly modern plate holders
rear hugger to keep crap out of the rear shock.
lastly personally i like wee indicators.
Good luck with the test mate.

Lambchop, cheers mate. Yes the list you mention above is about what i have planned for it. I assume the mushrooms are the crash bobbin things to protect the fairings if dropped?
mrjenrst, i love the new gixers mate. Good choice.

after talking to the missus we (she) has decided on a new kitchen
so it'll be a few month's yet they wanted Ł600 insurance ffs
got my renawal up in august so that should help
you need a can on it though s1, got a full race system on mine
(road legal officer ) and it makes the bike and not as loud as you would think well under 6000rpm anyway
