Just popped my first wheelie...
...and it felt brilliant, gonna go out more often after a night shift and have a go I think, less chance of geting tugged

wheelies are big and clever, just dont get caught ,or off to jail will you be!
try a quiet rural road with plenty of run off,and nice and long ,with soft verges for the "tits up experience" cusioning!,keep a moby with you if you do "off!" that way you can call your rescuers if the fan gets "mudied!",
and if you stick to these hints and learn your craft , you might even be good one day!
pluss,if you decide the highway is the best bit-o-mac and the schoolyard of bike stunts, and her majestys finest feel your collar, try to explain that you are familiarising yourself with the power delivery of your machine,as not to be caught unawares in a future incident.
if that washes, send your cheque to me!
keep safe ,enjoy !

Whether you bring the bike up off the throttle or with the clutch is just personal preference.
It's finding and holding that balance point that's the tricky part

not surprising that is wheelies with all that power though
Popping wheelies at any speed could be scary...doing 200mph is also scary...combine the 2 and you get sheer madness

I learnt to wheelie on my old RD350YPVS....also learnt shift gears during a wheelie on the same bike. Owned a tweeked GSXR750j Slingshot now for over 8yrs.....proper wheelie machine Wait till you first get your knee down.....thats a real rewarding feeling when your knee kisses the tarmac for the first time, just try to keep it to just being the knee and not the bike

I do the wheelie school every with some pals and my old man,
we start off in first then cough it up then change up through the box, so no clutch used
