Hey Thanks Steve !
And yes It's a Rothmans Mk2 Escort !
Here's the build thread. I built this last year. The body was bought from retro racing in Finland. The chassis is custom. RWD live axle on leaf springs with drive shaft up the tunnel to the tranny with the motor upfront in north/south layout. Custom made chassis and interior( the seats were bought however) also has working front disc brakes!
Enjoy ! Lol!

It's ALIVE!!! Short video of the hood in action...
The nose panel is just taped on so the front clip still needs to be fine tuned...

Watcha think ?

Hey thanks Glen! Lol! I guess if the hinges were bigger (1/10) they might be able to spring it all the way open..! I may try increasing number the magnets just to see if that will do it...! But the initial plan was to simulate when you 'pull' the hood release...ha!

And where I'm at now.... Still have to strip some .5mm sheet in to 30 pieces of 1mm x 15mm strips...3 pieces to go on between each of the vertical bars...also need to make the supporting cross bars for the supports...

Finished the faux battery top... Covers the servo nicely and is removable. As you can see the 'terminals' are the the bolts that hold it in place...which means that later on when I decide to detail out the engine, if I'm doing a harness the wires can be attached to the battery...lol!

Hey guys ...another small

Radiator is about 80% done...! Turned out pretty nice...
Still need to do the details on the upper and lower tanks, install both hose fittings, radiator cap and the side brackets for mounting it to the radiator panel...

some pics...the first one shows the original radiator for the 1:1...

Got the radiator completed.... Made the mounting brackets like the 1:1 , but mounted it a little different...lol! Made it so it's removable, so when it's time to paint it can come out easily, get painted and the remounted...

So...gonna try to focus on getting the dash sorted..

Some pics....
