If your stuck finding somewhere to get the glass cut to size i went to a glazier shop in Chelmsford in Moulsham Street, the name of the clamps/brackets from B&Q are called wire rope grip for 5mm diameter wire rope they are where the ropes/chain link fence bits are.

Well it seems to have taken ages to do this model, but finally it`s finished.
MK1 Escort, Cosworth engine, RS 4 spoke wheels, tinted rear windows to be different.
Now this is finished I can complete the MK3 widearch Escort now.
i love the look of this model how did you do the windows Jason
i would give it a wash first, then scotch pad it,then just brush paint it,will look just as good as if you was spraying, helmet already white so just the body to paint
thanks will do mate
painting the helmet so its the same colour as the body

filler is good for smoothing things, milliput is good for making things like bodykits.
its not spreadable like filler,u use ur hands to put it on.
Still a lot of work to do yet but its coming on. sent some pics of your pick up and your cossie mk3 escorts like to see them mate.

Mate that looks well nice whats the white stuff you used for getting the shape.
i like the look of those wheels on the focus mate
i have the focus in 1/18 scale and i make it the same as my old focus
Turned out better that I thought it would. The wheels are a little to big and barely turn, but its going in my cabinet anyway. For the price of the Impreza, it doesnt matter that the tyres are a little square'd off on one edge.
Ive made a replica of mine too. Got a 1/18 Focus ST on my list of ones to do.

I dont mind useing filler for smoothing, its just that I want to make a kit next and didnt want to use filler.
I'll try milliput and see how I get on.
Really want to try my hand at a mk3 cossy, just need a escort shell and there like £25 on egay.
