Well no models for me for christmas, so thought I would buy my own and do some work on them.
Obvious one, will be standard inside and outside.
Has anyone got a turbo engine I could buy / swap?

Then the other one, wanted to do something different.
Can you guess what it`s gonna be?

Hi all Merry Xmas, I need to pick your brains !
I've got a Sunstar Xsara WRC that I've stripped , bit of a crap model but i only wanted the wheels, seats and steering wheel , the roof scoop might come in handy though !.
The wheels are for a Sunstar MK2 Escort rally wide arch project ,I have'nt got the escort yet , but i was wondering if the wheels will fit , they are approx 33mm high and 12mm wide.
Hope you can help
PS do you think they would suit a white MK2 ...

i went to modelzone today, albo they didnt have any yellow xr3's in mate.
they had the basic escorts so i brought 1
only wanted it cause it wa cheap.
put my rs16i stuff on it,looked crap with standard rims so i went for the six spokes

im thinking with the original rs shell i want to make a pick up but we will see.

Thinking of changing this...

Into something like this ..

The Ghias are pretty cheap at about £20 on fleabay , I'll use the steering wheel, seats, wheels and tyres from my WRC Xsara, just need a full rollcage from a rally MK2.The bumpers should be pretty easy to chop down into quarter types,I'm thinking of using very narrow ribbon to replace the seatbelts as the plastic efforts are well over scale.Bonnet pins will need a fine pin drill and wire to get the right effect.
Should be worth the effort and make a nice budget track car with the right colour paint ..

cant u use the cage out of the xsara, make it fit?
Yeah thinking about it i could use the xsara cage , it would make it more unusual ..
I have got to do this on a budget of about £30 ! including buying the model ! but i have loadsa bits and bobs in my tool boxes left over from 30 years plus of model making , this will be a real junkyard special !
