what you all think of the evo removed the front grill completley so you can see the intercooler and fan anyway what you think of it im getting the hang of this modifying now will finish the series 1 when the spoiler arrives from pete lol

i think they suit lol i like the gold with silver lip too they were gonna be black with silver but thought that would look too black

 

got a bit more done on the garage with the boy tonight , still a bit more beading to put on before we paint it but it's looking good.
cant see most of the detail on these pics but all the window frames are in and an entrance , just got to make the doors.

the hard work has all been done by my son , and i must admit he seems comitted to this project although his ideas are starting to sound exspensive....lol
i have just given him the tools and the ideas and he has done a good job.
i think if it turns out as good as i think it will i may have to get rid of my existing garages and let him make another one.
just trying to work out how to do an automated roller shutter that actually goes up and down at the right speed!
managed to make a welding light to go in this when its finished it looks the nuts flashing under the cars...lol

its cost next to nothing mate !
floor and roof are white coated mdf i got hold of from a company local to me that makes radiator covers and there off cuts they usually bin
i have another six sheets that are 4 1/2 ft by 2ft x 9mm in my van shame you live so far away!
the rest is just architrave thats cost about Ł6.00 from b&q.
bottle of wood glue couple of quid mate.
even the mdf they do in b&q in roughly the same size not sure how much it is though!.

If you don't mind some constructive criticism,the paint looks really thick and takes away a lot of the fine detail of the original real car..what gives a small scale car its realism is attention to detail..door locks , window rubbers ,etc do not get me wrong guys i am not having a go at you , but detail matters...

 

course not mate the paint is thick as i painted it and then decided on a different colour

the window rubbers have boon painted back on in matt black back to how they origianlly were before paint and there was not any door locks same as the aa 1s if im correct the door locks were originally in the handles but ive put the smooth rear handles on the front and smoothed the rears the boot lock is painted back on and the side repeaters which originally are just body coloured lol

it was kinda a rush model anyway and i have added a lot better detail on my gatebil escos

where where where do i find modified parts? i know alot are probably hand made and i have found bits and bots on ebay, but is there a shop that sells such parts? yb engines? wheels?

 

your in luck mate escortnutter and mentalist dave on here specialise in replicating modified parts and also make there own they make the yb engine as well as wide arch kits inc s1 escort rs turbo kit and lots of different wheel designs also decals thats were we get ours they also have an ebay shop called model_motivations

I done the black one in front of a heater and kept the spray can warm lol also put plenty on this time as used the car on a can method to spray the whole car at once
