thought i would do abit of painting tonite as it was warm in the shed.
so i finished of my track cossie.
painted bumpers & boot.it needs afew stickers now as its abit plain & the wundow rubbers painting on



& next to its brother

 

What paints do you guys use and whats the best way to paint them?

 

I use Halford's Paint, Primer, colour and clear coat.
I spend a lot of time on the preping, then take my time Painting.
3 dust coats, 1/2 wet coat's.

This is the last car I painted.

Thats a really good finish.
So not much different to spray real parts then

 

just a quick update on my mk3 escort just waiting on parts from steve to arrive for the cossie yb lump before i can install it

 

does anyone have any spare buckets seats they don't need?

as i want to rip out the back seatof ym escort and replace it with bucket seats

Yea it is a bit.
Dont know much about it. Think its just something Burago done.
Just a shame the wheels from the Burago models dont fit onto the Escort

 

I like it but i think i'd have a brighter orange for the wheels, or green (I love green)

 

i had to do about 4 coats of orange as i used grey primer so came out darker than i wanted maybe orange graphics on the car will work

 

Yea i think orange graphics would look good but they would have to be the same colour orange as the wheels else it wont quite look right


(Trust me, i help out JDM Graphix every now and again with graphics lol)

 

I use either Halfords of Hycote paint, primer & laquer. Also use official Ford paint & laquer aswell but the laquer seems to be a lot thicker. 2 layers of that seems to be about 4 or 5 of the other.

 

went to my local model place aka dominoes and they had nothing good exepect froma a camper van but dunno if to get it lol

 

i always use halfords now,even on plastic model's,ive never used laquer
always comes out nice

just a quick update on my viper project and lambo' respray

lambo' needs a couple more coats and then its finished and the viper is almost down to bare metal so i can make a start on the bodykit
